8 Benefits of Plant Based Diets that nobody tells you

I was learning about plant based diets a couple of months ago, there are a lot of benefits to it. So, I decided to write a helpful post about the benefits of plant based diets.

The benefits of plant based diets are to reduce the risk of diabetes, heart problems, stroke, and other diseases. Plants are full of nutrients that are essential for overall health and well-being.

To get the most benefits do not just remove eating meat from your meal, Go with a diet plan that helps your body, and don’t eat processed food. here are the benefits I found in my learning journey.  

Advantages of a plant based diet

Embracing a plant based diet comes with a bunch of perks! Firstly, it’s a powerhouse of nutrients, loading you up with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Plus, it’s a champ in supporting heart health, slashing the risk of chronic diseases. now let us talk about the advantages of a plant based diet.

Reduce food borne illness 

If you are already here it means you are thinking of going vegan or trying something new. Food poisoning or foodborne pathogens primary sources are all animal products, including meat, poultry, fish, dairy, and eggs. So, you might be wondering, does being vegan reduce risk of food poisoning?

Yes, being vegan reduces the risk of food poisoning because you are eating only plants. Which is not the primary source of foodborne pathogens in other words food poisoning.

plant-based foods, such as fruits, vegetables are eaten with minimal processing. In my learning i learn that raw plant food is good for your health and since it’s not process food you will get many more benefits on the line.

Save money 

Now let’s talk about what everybody is worried about, before they start a diet plan is money. Beginning a diet plan means that you have to eat a certain way as long as your diet plan goes, to get the result of the diet. 

If you start a non processed plant based food diet you will only be eating food raw or cooked.Since meat is much more expensive than plant you will eventually save money because you are not buying meat. 

In my experience while trying to be a vegetarian for more than 2 months I can say it reduces my shopping bill by around 23% so if you ever want to go on a diet my tip is go with a plant-based diet.

Try new foods & cooking method

Congrats if you are still reading wanderer. Now the next benefit I found during my 2 month vegan journey is that there are a lot of fruits my man. Some of them I did not ever hear before my 2 month vegan journey.

By going on a plant based diet you will find many new types of plant food and teste many new plants. You might also find yourself learning or creating new types of cooking methods along the way.

I created my 2 new cooking methods and had some parties with my vegan friends.it was wonderful and i love the idea of new invention on the way.

Great for your digestion 

Before i started my vegan journey a friend of mine told me “bro, elephant, lion they are so strong they do not eat my bro”. After that I got into my plant based diet. I did not know at first but after 1 week I was sleeping more and my body felt better. so , i went to doctor and he told me that “ plant digest faster”

A plant based diet is good for your digestion because it’s non processed food and our body digests non processed food quickly. So, when you sleep your body finishes digestion and starts healing your body and you wake up energized.

If you wake up in the morning do you feel tired after sleeping for more than 8 hours? It’s because the full night your body digested the food you had for dinner. By eating plant you give your body less time to digest and heal your body and you wake up energized.

Weight management

Plant-based foods are a great way to manage weight. They are low in calories and high in fiber, which can help you feel full and satisfied. Plant-based foods are also a good source of protein, which can help you build muscle and burn calories.

Some of the best plant-based foods for weight management include:

  • Fruits and vegetables
  • Whole grains
  • Legumes
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Tofu and tempeh
  • Edamame
  • Quinoa
  • Oatmeal
  • Lentils
  • Chia seeds
  • Flax seeds

These foods are all low in calories and high in nutrients, making them a great choice for people who are trying to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight. But if you want to do weight management do not forget to exercise your body.

Improved Skin and Acne

Plant-based diets are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber, which can positively impact skin health. Some ways it helps skin are:

  • Antioxidants: Fruits and vegetables are full of antioxidants, such as vitamins A, C, and E, as well as phytochemicals like flavonoids and carotenoids. Antioxidants help neutralize free radicals, reducing oxidative stress and inflammation that can contribute to skin issues.

Before my pace had 2 to 3 pimples and now that they are gone. It helps my skin but since everybody is different, what helps me might not help you.

Decreased Joint Pain

My dad and I started a plant-based diet together. I am 23 but my dad is 54 so he had some back pain which went away and his diabetes became controllable after a 2 month health check from the doctor so for my father plant-based food decreased joint pain.

Anti-inflammatory Foods: Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and seeds are rich in compounds that can reduce inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation is associated with joint pain and certain inflammatory conditions.

So, if you have long back pain or joint pain or you are just an old guy try a plant based diet for 2 months to see if anything changes.

While diet alone cannot guarantee a state of calm and peacefulness, plant-based diets contribute to better mental well-being in many ways:

  • Less Intake of Mood-Altering Substances: Plant-based diets tend to minimize or exclude foods that can negatively impact mood, such as excessive caffeine, alcohol, and certain artificial additives.

in my plant-based diet program my mind was always calm and i could do more work so for me it increased my minds calm and peacefulness.

Challenges & Real Talk:

  2. Protein Party: Getting protein from plants is the goal, but it’s like solving a delicious puzzle. Mix it up with beans, tofu, and quinoa to keep your protein game strong.
  3. Social Jam: Dinner with friends? Going out? Plant-based life might throw some curveballs. Navigating menus and explaining your food choices might be on the table, but it’s all part of the adventure.

Bottom line – plant-based living has its quirks, but it’s a vibrant, feel-good choice that lets you eat well and do good.
